Two Tools for ACCTS’ Prayer Initiative1. Giving Ourselves to Prayer [click here for more info] is a textbook-style compilation of prayer-related theses which ACCTS is giving to chaplains free of charge. This textbook fills an important void in prayer education. The book is a result of the efforts of the Task Force on Theological Education, a project of America’s National Prayer Committee.
2. The camouflage-designed version of Experiencing God Day by Day [click here for more info] , a devotional by Henry and Richard Blackaby, introduces one verse a day for consideration. We encourage deployed people and their family and/or friends back home to read through this book together so that they are sharing in this devotional experience on multiple levels. Blackaby Ministries International has graciously provided these outstanding devotionals free to ACCTS for distribution to encourage prayer for military personnel.
If you wish to help provide these book, free of charge, to chaplains and military personnel, please contact the ACCTS office at 1-800-487-8108 or send your donation to: ACCTS, PO Box 27239, Denver CO 802270-0239 with a note indicating it is for these two books.
ACCTS greatly appreciates our partnership with America’s National Prayer Committee and Blackaby Ministries International to encourage prayer for military and security personnel.

CHINA UPDATE: ACCTS’ executive director, Cal Dunlap, is traveling in China with several people, including two U.S. military cadets. Crossing into China, Cal, his wife Linda, and their granddaughter were detained overnight due to possible fevers (and swine flu concerns). Cal reports,“ We travelled in an isolation van complete with driver in full biological threat dress and siren going…Our Chinese host led the cadets, Jodie, and his wife in prayer for us...by noon the next day we were released...What a joyous reunion when our host’s van drove up in front of the hospital. Everyone was wearing masks and rejoicing and hugging like when Peter was set free in the book of Acts.” Please pray that this group will continue seeing God's love in their lives and sharing that love with all they meet in the ancient and beautiful nation of China.
